Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Saturday said the government has no plan to shut educational institutions due to the surge of the Covid-19 cases right now.
“We do not want to close the educational institutions. Rather, we want children to go to the institutions after taking vaccines,” she said.
The education minister came up with the assertion while addressing a program in the city.
She said, “The government is taking measures in this regard. Some problem may arise for those under 12. We will take decision about them too.”
Dipu Moni said they assumed that Covid-19 infection may surge in March but it started to increase in early January.
She added: “So, we need to do some adjustment in our plan.”
