Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday said permission has been given to the concerned parties to hold a program in Bangladesh with Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi. While the National Board of Revenue (NBR) can take action to collect tax or VAT, it has no jurisdiction to stop the Nora Fatehi event.

The Information minister said, "Nora Fatehi is a renowned actress. She is going to perform in the ensuing World Cup Football Tournament item song in Qatar which also held in other World Cup football tournaments. For example, singer Shakira did it. Several other stars also did it."

Dr Hasan Mahmud said an organisation wants to make a documentary through the function inviting Nora in Bangladesh. Because of it, we have accorded permission. The NBR can also realise tax and VAT, but it has no jurisdiction to stop the Nora Fatehi's function.
