Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu excited to feature in Priyanka Chopra’s biopic

Newly crowned Miss Universe, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu’s love and admiration for former Miss World and global icon, bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is undeniable. Born in the year 2000 (the year Priyanka was crowned Miss World), Harnaaz always looked up to Priyanka as her role model and following her footsteps made India proud by winning the prestigious Miss Universe crown, at the 70th edition of the oldest pageant, after a hiatus of 21 years!

During her stint at Miss Diva 2021, on being quizzed, “Which beauty queen inspires you the most?” Harnaaz replied, “The fact that I was born in 2000 and the same year Priyanka Chopra winning the Miss World crown is not a coincidence but a fate that after 21 years, I might get a chance to represent India and bring the coveted crown of Miss Universe back to India.

Priyanka Chopra has always been one of the iconic queens who has inspired me with her courageous attitude to make her own brand and represent India on an international platform. So here I am to Make India proud just like she did.” And she sure kept her promise, making us all proud by placing India at the top in the global arena.

So once again, on being asked to name a celebrity whose biopic she would want to feature in, her answer was the obvious - Priyanka Chopra. “Priyanka Chopra. I would love to love to be part of that. I think she has inspired me throughout her journey, and she will keep on inspiring millions of us,” she exclaimed, responding to a source.

The Matrix star also lauded Harnaaz for her international win and showered praises through several mediums. During one of the interviews, on being asked about her reaction, Priyanka said, “I was very excited about it. The last time India had a Miss Universe was Lara Dutta in the year 2000.

That was the year that I won Miss World as well. She (Harnaaz) has brought home the crown after 21 years and she is 21, so she was born in the year that I won Miss World. I’m so excited for her and I hope this is the beginning of an incredible journey. She’s very smart and gorgeous, obviously, and I’m very excited for her.”

On the work front, the Priyanka, who was recently seen in The Matrix Resurrections, has many films lined up for 2022, including Text For You and Citadel. She will also feature in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

Meanwhile, Harnaaz has been preparing to enjoy and fulfill her responsibilities as the reigning queen, Miss Universe 2021.
