3 killed in Rajbari road crash

Three people were killed as a three-wheeler collided with a truck on Dhaka-Kushtia Highway at Kolyanpur area under Rajbari Sadar upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Md Sujan (35), of Nabuochimuddinpara area under Goalanda upazila, Momin Pramanik (24), of Horihorpur area under Rajbari Sadar upazila, and Saiful Sheikh (22), of Kamaldia village under Madhukhali upazila in Faridpur.
Delowar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Allahadipur Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter to the media.
Quoting locals, the OC said the accident occurred when a Goalanda-bound three-wheeler from Rajbari collided with a Rajbari-bound truck at Kolyanpur area around 3:00 pm—leaving three people including the three-wheeler driver critically injured.
They were rushed to Faridpur's Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital where the trio succumbed to their injuries, said the OC.
On information, police rushed to the spot and seized the truck while its driver managed to flee, added the OC.
