4 killed in Habiganj road crash

Four people were killed and nine others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Bakharnagar area under Madhabpur upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Dilnahar, 55, Helena, 22, and Murad Miah, 22. The identity of another deceased could not be immediately determined.
The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus of Al Mubaraka Paribahan from Sylhet collided head-on with a microbus, coming from the opposite direction, in the area around 2.30pm, leaving three persons including the microbus driver dead on the spot and injuring 10 others, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shaistaganj Highway Police Mohammad Saleh Ahmed told the reporters.
The injured were taken to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital where one succumbed to his injuries, he said. Later, police recovered the bodies from the spot, the OC added.
