RAB's newly appointed Director General M Khurshid Hossain on Sunday said that the issue of reforming RAB is not their concern.
He said whether reform in RAB is necessary or not –is the government's business. If the government finds it necessary it would reform RAB, he added.
M Khurshid Hossain, however, said personally he does not think it is necessary to reform RAB.
He said these things in response to journalists' questions after paying respect to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman placing wreath at his grave in Tungipara, Gopalganj on Sunday afternoon.
Director General of RAB said, "The government is dealing with the issue of US sanctions. We have provided appropriate answers to the questions they asked to us. After we answered, they could not ask any more questions.
In that case, it is up to the government whether to reform RAB or not. We are doing our duty. The goverment will reform if it thinks necessary but personally I don’t think any reform is necessary,” said M Khurshid Hossain.
