Tk 3cr gold recovered at Dhaka airport; one held

Customs officials have detained a man and seized 44 gold bars from inside two hammers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The detainee is Ataor Rahman. He landed at the airport from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on a flight -- G 9510 -- at 9:15pm on Tuesday.
According to a press note, law enforcers found two hammers in Ataor’s baggage. They then cut the hammers with bar cutter and found 44 gold bars inside. Police also found five pieces of gold bangles from his pocket.
The estimated value of the recovered gold is around Tk 3 crore.
Two cases were filed against him in this connection.
