Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said Saudi Arabia is interested to invest in Bangladesh's energy and port sectors.
Momen spoke to the journalists Saturday after a meeting with the visiting Saudi Minister of Commerce and Chairman of General Authority of Foreign Trade Majid bin Abdullah Al-kassabi on the sidelines of the Bangladesh Business Summit 2023 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.
"The Saudi Arabian side said they believe in action, not just words. And they have already undertaken a few projects in Bangladesh, including one in Patenga on government land," the foreign minister said.
"We have also offered a special economic zone to them for another project in Chattogram. They said they would start working on it very soon," Momen added.
