Two trains collide in Cumilla, 7 coaches derailed

More than 100 people were injured and causing seven carriages to derail as Dhaka-bound Sonar Bangla Express hit a freight train at Nangalkot of Cumilla on Sunday.
The accident took place at Hasanpur station of upazila on Sunday (April 16) around 7:15 pm, said locals.
Train communication between Dhaka and Chittagong has been stopped due to the derailment of the carriage.
Officer-in-Charge of Laksam Railway Police Station Jasim Uddin Chowdhury said, a freight train was standing at Hasanpur station. Meanwhile, the Sonar Bangla Express from Chittagong to Dhaka hit the freight train from behind. 7 coaches of the passenger train were derailed. Many people were injured in this incident. However, no death was reported, he added.
