The government has advised Bangladeshi citizens to avoid any travel to Sudan as fighting between the army and paramilitary forces led by rival generals rage on in the African country.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is not safe for Bangladeshis to travel to Sudan now. All Bangladeshi nationals are therefore advised not to travel there until further notice. This suggestion has been communicated to the relevant ministries and agencies of Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh mission in Sudan is also advising Bangladeshis living there in this regard.
Severe armed conflict has recently erupted in Sudan, causing casualties and disrupting the supply of food and basic necessities. This conflict is going on in Khartoum city and different parts of the country including Khartoum airport.
