Mild heat wave likely to continue

Mild heat wave is sweeping over many places of the country and it may continue and spread, said a weather forecast issued by the Bangladesh Metrology Department (BMD) here today.
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Patuakhali and it may continue and spread," said the bulletin valid for the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise by (1-2)oC over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 37.7 degrees Celsius at Bandarban while today's minimum temperature 19.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
However, no rainfall recorded across the country during the last 24 hours.
The sun sets at 6.25pm today and rises at 5.27 am tomorrow in the capital.
