451 killed in road accidents during Eid-ul-Fitr journey

In this year, 451 people were killed and 2,527 people were injured in 2,506 accidents across the country during Eid-ul-Fitr journey.

This information was announced in a press release of Save the Road on Sunday (April 30).

According to the notification, bus accident killed the most, 282 people. However, motorcycle accidents decreased by 55.53 percent in April compared to March.

The report was prepared on the basis of news published in 22 national dailies, 20 television channels, 88 online news portals and information provided by local eyewitnesses and volunteers of organizations, according to Save the Road.

There were 431 motorcycle accidents in April, killing 34 and injuring 435. On the other hand, 43 people were killed and 368 injured in 645 truck accidents.

282 people were killed and 943 injured in 808 bus accidents. Apart from this, 781 people were injured and 89 people were killed in 622 accidents involving Nasimon-Karimon and other three-wheelers.
