BNP won't submit any name for EC formation

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said that his party would not submit any name to the search committee for appoint the chief election commissioner and the other election commissioners.
The BNP leader’s announcement came a day after the search committee sought names of probable candidates from registered political parties.
Talking to reporters at the BRB hospital in Dhaka after visiting the party’s ailing leader Abdul Aziz of Natore, Fakhrul said that the Awami League government had been doing everything to remain in power and that they had now made law going against the will of the people of the country.
He said that the search committee members were mostly linked to Awami League and it would propose names to form another ‘Huda commission’ to keep the Awami League in power.
