Narayanganj post-poll violence hurts 15

At least 15 people have received injuries, including one with bullet, in a post-poll violence in Naura under Kayetpara union of Rupganj in Narayanganj last night.
Of the injured, Yeakub, 17, received bullet, said ASM Sayet, officer in-charge of the Rupganj police station.
Quoting locals, he said: “The supporters of the defeated chairman candidate Mizanur Rahman and newly elected chairman Jayed Ali locked horn at 8 pm on Tuesday. The supporters of Mizanur opened fire, hurting Yeakub.”
“He was sent to Dhaka for better treatment.”
The attackers also set fire on five houses, a private car and four motorbikes and vandalised 8-10 houses in the area.
On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
