Awami League Secretary General and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said the people across the country know that BNP is more interested in preferring illegal way instead of holding dialogue for democracy.
“Country’s people know it very well that BNP usually prefers to go through dark way by hatching conspiracy instead of holding dialogue for democracy”, he said.
Quader made this comment while responding to a statement made by the BNP secretary general that ‘BNP has no interest in dialogue with the Election Commission (EC)’.
“BNP wants to capture power through hatching conspiracy instead of showing any respect to the constitutional and democratic norms,” Quader said.
Mentioning that the incumbent government has enacted a law on appointing the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and other Commissioners as per its earlier pledge, the ruling party leader said the search committee was formed based on new law, urged all the political parities including BNP to propose names on formation of the EC, reports BSS.
“The entire process on formation a new EC has already been proved peoples interest or not,” said the minister.
Even the BNP minded people also were present among the noted personalities who attended dialogues with the EC, said Quader.
Noting that to make politicization concentrating on a particular issue is BNP’s nature, the ruling party senior leader said BNP’s evil politics on price of the essentials has already gone astray. Quader said the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always responding to any problem of the people.
