BNP leader Ishraque secures bail

BNP leader Ishraque Hossain has secured bail in a case filed over arson. Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofajjol Hossain granted him bail on Tuesday.

Police arrested Ishraque while he was distributing leaflets protesting price hike of daily essentials in Dhaka's Motijheel area on April 6. He was sent to jail through court later on the same day.
Police said an arrest warrant had been pending against Ishraque in the case filed over arson attacks carried out on November 12, 2020 during by-election to the Dhaka 18 constituency.
