Haji Salim returns from Bangkok

Awami League lawmaker Haji Salim, who is convicted in a case, has reportedly returned to Dhaka from Thailand.
Mohiuddin Mahmud, Haji Salim's personal secretary, confirmed the matter to media. A Thai Airways flight carrying him landed at Dhaka airport at 12:15pm on Thursday.
He also said after landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Salim went directly to a janaza in Old Dhaka.
On April 30, 2022, Haji Salim left the country despite being convicted for 10 years in a graft case. He went to Bangkok for “treatment”, sources said.
Solaiman Salim, the MP’s son, told a television channel later that day that his father was out of the country.
