Next election will be free and fair: Razzaque

Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque on Thursday said that the government is determined to hold a free, fair and participatory election.
"The next (parliament) election will be free and fair. We will try to ensure participation of all political parties in the polls until the last day," he said.
The ruling party leader said this while speaking at the extended meeting of Tangail district unit of AL as the chief guest at Tangail Press Club auditorium here in the afternoon, said a press release.
Reiterating that no caretaker government will be constituted in the country, Razzaque said the Constitution of Bangladesh clearly says that Election Commission (EC) will conduct the election and the government will extend all-out support to the EC.
Tangail district AL President Fazlur Rahman Khan Faruque and General Secretary Md Joaherul Islam spoke at the meeting, among others.
