Saudi Arabia has issued the requirements for Umrah pilgrims travelling to the country from non-restricted countries amid the Omicron concern.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) tweeted on November 28 that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued the guideline.
According to the ministry, pilgrims who have been jabbed with one of the Covid-19 vaccines approved by Saudi Arabia are allowed to perform Umrah without being quarantined.
On the other hand, pilgrims who enter Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa and have been vaccinated with one of the World Health Organization (WHO)-approved vaccines must be quarantined for three days.
Pilgrims must submit a negative PCR test 48 hours after quarantine to be allowed to perform Umrah, says the directive.
