South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat first in the series deciding third ODI against Bangladesh at SuperSport Park in Centurion today.
The series is now locked at 1-1. Bangladesh won the first game by 38 runs, which was their first victory on South African soil before the hosts hit back to a winning way with a seven-wicket victory in the second game.
Despite losing the second game, the Tigers are high on confidence and target a first ever series victory on South African soil by winning the third and final match.
However, Bangladesh remained unchanged in the most crucial game and it was the sixth straight time that they fielded a side without dropping or resting any player, reports BSS.
Shakib Al Hasan was doubtful for third ODI after most of his family members are currently going through a health crisis back at home. He was supposed to return to the country but decided to stay back for the most important game.
South Africa meanwhile had to bring up one change from the second ODI as the pacer Wayne Parnell was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Dwaine Pretorius however replaced him.
