Bangladesh's array of spin bowling talent again proved too much for the West Indies batting line-up to handle with the visitors completing a comprehensive series-clinching nine-wicket victory in the second one-day international of a three-match series at the Guyana National Stadium on Wednesday.
Offspinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed shared seven wickets between them in a gem of spin bowling as Bangladesh skittled West Indies out for 108 in 35 overs.
Having bowled out West Indies in below par total, Bangladesh sniffed an easy victory which will give them an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Bangladesh earlier won the first game by six wickets.
If Bangladesh win this match, this will be their 10th straight victory against West Indies and also gave them a fourth straight series victory over the Caribbean.
Like the first ODI, Miraz played a vital role in stifling the Caribbean as Bangladesh asked the hosts to bat first in extremely slow track. He grabbed 4-29 in his eight overs, much to the frustration of the hosts.
Nasum again delivered a measly effort, having claimed 4-19 in his 10 overs. Mosaddek Hossain Saikat and Shoriful Islam took one wicket apiece.
For West Indies, Keemo Paul was the top-score with 25 not out. Openers Shai Hope made 18 and Kyle Mayers scored 17.
