Gold is going to be traded at the highest price in Bangladesh after the Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) decided to hike prices by Tk 2,683 per bhori on Saturday.
From tomorrow, buyers will have to pay Tk 93,429 for each bhori of 22-carat gold, according to a Bajus press release.
For the first time in the history of the country, the price of a gold has exceeded Tk 93 thousand per bhori.
The association took the decision as the price went up in the international and local bullion markets.
Before this, last January 7, the Bajus increased the gold prices by Tk 2,333 taka per bhori.
